The majority of us take fresh, clean running water for granted, but not everyone has that luxury. The average person in the United States uses 500 litres of water per day, the average person in Britain uses 200 litres, while in parts of Africa the average person has access to just 5.

Last year 95,000 children in Sudan died due to a lack of fresh, clean running water. Fresh water can be a walk of up to 12 hours away, but many millions collect water from local ponds and streams where water is polluted and carries Giardia, Guinea Worm and Rotavirus, causing sickness, pain, and death.
